Selecting A Domain Name

  • Names can include letters, numbers, and hyphens. Stick with letters, if possible.
  • Maximum character length is 63, but shorter names (15 - 20 characters) are better.
  • Domain names are case-insensitive
  • Not essential, but try to use words that identify your product or service in the domain name.
  • Longer registration periods may be better from an SEO standpoint

Domain Extensions

Registering a domain name is the first step to putting your business online. We can help you select the right domain name, and register one or more names for you. Our registrar is accredited by ICANN, and has been in the business since 1993.

We can help you with every aspect of domain name registration. First, select a few names that would appropriately identify your business. If possible, try to include the type of product or service you offer in the name itself, and make sure it's memorable and easy to spell. Then, identify which extensions you want to associate it with (.com, .net, etc.).

We can tell you if a name is too long, too hard to spell, and which extension(s) to consider. Once you've selected your name(s), we'll handle the rest! We'll configure the names for you and ensure your domain is registered for the life of your website. We can change or add more domain names as needed.

We'll also protect your privacy, but in all cases, you retain the rights to using your domain name.

Domain Transfers

If you already own a domain name, transfer the name to Ponca City Web Solutions for easy management and low annual renewal rates. You will remain the Domain Owner, and we'll handle all administrative tasks and any technical issues that arise.
